I was so disappointed when attending my Dad's funeral. None of it seemed to be about him. He deserved so much more than that :-( x

by Disassociated Lady 2 ini have recently been disfellowshipped (after being reinstated in march).
i saw a group of jws gathered in the town car park yesterday.

Hi Finkelstein:
You asked "I was just wondering how you got DFed in just matter of months".
I got reinstated in March after being out 26 years. My Dad died last year and I promised him I would go back. My husband and I divorced in 2012 and I would have been homeless if a friend had not taken me into her home. I am still living there and the elders wanted me to move out as she is a Witch/Wisewoman. They said they would not have reinstated me had they known exactly who the lady was. Anyway I cannot afford to move out and get a place of my own, not them or my JW family offered me any help, so they disfellowshipped me. :-( x

I have recently been disfellowshipped (after being reinstated in March). I saw a group of JWs gathered in the town car park yesterday. They seemed startled when they recognised my car and talked amongst themselves giving one another a satisfied grin! An overweight "brother" who waddles around like a frightened rabbit seemed scared of me when I attended meetings before and made it pretty obvious he didn't like me being in the congregation. I watched him walk off with his dutiful wife and two very pretty teenage daughters.
Since then I have been wondering whether to attend the meetings just for the hell of it. The elders there and others (mainly men) who were uncomfortable with my presence and made it difficult for me until they drove me out. I hated the fact that they would be satisfied about it. I don't want to get reinstated I would just like to attend meetings and show them they have no power over me and I can be there if I want to. Thoughts please?

Family contact in terminal illness cases.
by Disassociated Lady 2 ini had not seen my parents for over 15 years since the funeral of my brother and even then no one spoke to me as i was da.
my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2014 and i was then permitted contact with them.
i now know the reason that this is allowed.

Thank you for those comments and as you say there are many in the same situation. I cant understand why these people make so many excuses for JW behaviour (apart from the brainwashing that is). I know someone who's mother is ill and a JW. Her daughter is a SPIRIT MEDIUM and takes her to hospital, does her mums housework and visits often. The JWs are aware of this but will turn a blind eye to her associating with her daughter rather than help this woman out herself.
Mind you, if I was my mum's only daughter she would have to accept help from me, but because I have two JW brothers and an inactive sister (who lives with her boyfriend and shouldn't be classed as a JW but they turn a blind eye to it.) She looks after my mum) and has social nights out with JWs too because she has not been disfellowshipped. so corrupt! :-( x

I was so disappointed for my parents after all the effort they had put in throughout their lives and even now I know my Mum makes excuses for them.
I also heard of a sister who was forced to use a church charity when she was ill as there was no one else to help her. I can imagine she would have been in big trouble for that!

You are so pleased to be with your family again that you would do anything for them. If you are around to care for them when they are dying the JWs don't have to do it themselves. My Dad passed away in May 2015 and he had been baptized since 1958. They paid a visit now and again when he was ill but did not help with his care etc. They don't visit my mother either now she is alone. My parents wasted their lives for nearly 60 years and tried their best to conform and that is how important faithful servants are to them. Heartbreaking! :-( x

WT "Study" for 4th September 2016 - “Seek the Kingdom, Not Things”
by Nicholaus Kopernicus ini’m sitting there in the kingdom hall just thinking how rich it is of the gbojw to preach about materialism when they have recently been evidenced to be using bro’s & sis’ contributions to the world wide work to travel business class!
just that thought alone was leading me to read scripture while they were all engaged in the wt “study”.. however, then it came to paragraph 17 and i blurted / choked a little.
the paragraph said that “we should not imitate the people of ‘the nations,’ who have no real faith in a loving heavenly father who cares for those who put the interests of his kingdom first in their life.”.

The elders wouldn't let me fade, as soon as I got reinstated they hounded me and dug up all kinds of information from my past refusing to believe I was no longer doing those things so they could disfellowship me again. they are now getting wise to the "fade" tactic grrrrr >:-( xxx

Happiness and Freedom On A Paradise Earth?
by Disassociated Lady 2 inat a recent meeting there was a watchtower article about life in paradise.
they were saying that even when witnesses finally get there they will still be under the strict instructions from the elders and gb.
they may be given jobs that they will find unpleasant, also the preaching work will be ongoing because of all the resurrected people who need to learn about why they are given another chance.
